Lost is the first version of the project I am currently working on.
Originally I was trying to represent someone waiting for like a lost person or that the girl was lost herself. I wanted it to show her endlessly wandering the earth. It was originally titled "Wandering"
I changed and experimented with the girl so that she wasn't quite so solid I made her transparent, plus I toned down the coloring so she didn't stand out so much and look so out of place. I put a texture through the picture that I found on Deviant Art.com, to make it seem dreamy and kind of spiritual. While doing this other ideas popped into my head, so I have been trying to change it, just to make it look more ghostly. I placed the flower in because it just did not look quite finished. I am still not satisfied with how it looks at the moment, but I might work on it later on.

First Project.
Well my first piece I have done this year for Digital Art was a set project. I had to create a picture based on me. This exercise was just an introduction to the class. I put in different pictures based on myself; my interests, one of my favorite artists (Mark Ryder), what I like to do in my spare time etc. I did this by just making a room look like a kind of gallery, with a tattoo gun in a frame, and a painting by Mark Ryder in a frame. Along with books and a camera. I also incorporated an eye in as it is my favorite feature on a person.
The room I used for the background I like a lot so I have saved it on my laptop at home and on my USB so that I do not lose it accidentally.

Artist Statement
This year for Digital Art I plan on recreating pictures from mythology and fantasy stories, I want to show how I interpret them in my own mind. My main Idea is to use the Seven Deadly Sins as a subject and Pandoras Box.
I am also interested in Greek mythology like Hades Underworld and would like to do work on the Lost City of Atlantis. I want to be able to create these legends as they have stories behind them, and I am fascinated by it. When people view my work I want them to be able to recognise the legend or myth that I have based my piece on, and be able to remember the story behind it, or at least want to find out what this legend means.
I usually get my inspiration for pieces from reading old legends and poems or just while reading a book, while doing this images just pop into my head sometimes they are ones I really want to work on and they just stick in my mind like a photo other times they are gone immediately. Songs are also a big inspiration to me, especially if they are full of meaning or if the lyrics tell a story. I always listen to music while working as it helps me immensely.
